DOSAGE OF BEE PREPARATION PER VEGETABLES APIWAROL
One tablet contains one therapeutic dose, which is enough for a single bee colony.
Hold the tablet with tongs and put on fire, blowing out any flame. Place the smoldering tablet on a narrow (3-4 cm) strip of dense metal mesh, or a specially bent wire feeder, which facilitates air access to the tablet. Introduce the smoldering tablet with the mesh through the outlet into the hive by placing it on the bottom under the frames. Close the outlet for 20 minutes. Then open the spout and check whether the tablet has burnt. If the tablet has not burnt, the treatment should be repeated. When diagnosing varroa, proceed as above, placing a sheet of paper smeared with vegetable fat on the bottom of the hive. One hour after fumigation, remove a sheet of paper and check for the presence of the parasite.
Recommendations for the correct administration of the drug for bees against varroa. Apiwarol only works against Varroa destructor mites on the outer coat of bees. It does not destroy the parasite and its developmental forms on the sealed brood. The best results in combating varroa are obtained by fumigating twice in spring and in autumn two or three times at intervals of 4-6 days, when the hive has the smallest amount of sealed brood. In the apiary season, the fight against the parasite can be carried out by cutting out the sealed drone brood. Fumigation should be performed in the evening after the end of the flight of bees. Due to the possibility of penetration of amitraz into honey, autumn treatment should be carried out after removing the reserves of honey intended for consumption from the hive.
